- License Activation:
- After activating the plugin, you will likely be redirected to the License page or see an admin notice prompting you to activate your license.
- Navigate to Blogger Importer > License in your WordPress admin menu.
- Enter your license key in the provided field.
- Click the Activate License button.
- Ensure the license status shows as “Active”. If activation fails, please refer to the Troubleshooting section.
- Importing Content:
- Navigate to Blogger Importer in your WordPress admin menu.
- Enter your Blogger blog URL (e.g.,
https://yourblog.blogspot.com
) in the Blogger URL field. - Select the Content to Import (Both Posts and Pages, Posts Only, or Pages Only).
- Click the Start Import button.
- Important: Do not close the browser window during the import process. The plugin will display a progress bar and a log of the import process.
- Redirect Settings:
- After a successful import, you may be prompted to continue to Settings or can navigate to Blogger Importer > Settings.
- On the Settings page, you can enable URL redirects for imported posts and pages. This helps preserve SEO by redirecting old Blogger URLs to their new WordPress counterparts.
- Check the box for Enable URL Redirects.
- Click Save Changes.
- The Settings page also provides exportable redirect rules for Apache (.htaccess) and Nginx. You can use these rules in your server configuration after uninstalling the plugin to maintain redirects. Copy the appropriate code for your server type and add it to your server configuration file (e.g.,
.htaccess
for Apache, or your server block for Nginx).
